Frequently asked questions

Is DramaShortsTV free?
Yes. Every episode you can play on this site is free, and there is nothing to buy here. We do not sell episodes, coins, or subscriptions, and we never ask for payment details.
How many episodes are free?
It varies by series, and the number is shown on every series page before you start. Across our English catalogue of 3,686 series the median is 10 free episodes and the average is 9.4. The full range is 0 to 20 — a small number of series are free throughout, and a small number charge from the first episode. Series with no free episodes are labelled as such; they do not get a "Free" badge.
Why do the episodes stop partway through?
Because that is where the licence ends. The distribution feed we receive contains the free episodes of each series and nothing beyond them — the paid episodes are not withheld by us, they are simply not in the data we get. This is a property of the affiliate model, not a setting we could change.
When you reach that point, we link you to the same series in the official ReelShort app, where the rest can be unlocked.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up, no login, and no password anywhere on this site. Nothing is gated behind an account because there is no account system at all.
Do you save my watch history?
Only inside your own browser. We have no user accounts, so there is nothing to attach that history to on our side. This site stores the last episode you opened for up to twelve series locally in your browser so the Continue watching row on the home page can take you back there.
That list never becomes an account profile and never syncs across devices. Our server does not record which episodes you played as a personal watch history, so if you want cross-device progress that is still what the official app is for.
What happens when I click "Watch in the app"?
You are sent to that series' page in the ReelShort app or store listing. We count the click first — which series, which episode number, which language — so we can tell which pages are actually useful. That counting is described in the Privacy policy, and it does not identify you.
One thing worth knowing: the link goes to the series, not to the specific episode you were on. The link format we are given only supports series-level targeting, so you will need to skip to your episode yourself once the app opens. We say which episode number on the paywall itself so you do not have to remember it.
Can I watch on my phone?
Yes. The player is built for vertical video on a phone first — it fills the screen, plays inline, and moves to the next free episode on its own. No app install is needed to watch the free episodes.
Why are some series in a language I do not speak?
The catalogue carries every language the source feed publishes. Use the language switcher in the header to move between them. Where the same series exists in several languages, the series page links across to those versions directly.
Is the content licensed?
Yes — by ReelShort, not by us. We are an authorised affiliate of their distribution feed. We do not host, encode, or store any video. See the Terms for where to direct rights enquiries.
Something is wrong on a page. Who do I tell?
Tell us if the site itself is at fault — a broken player, a wrong episode count, a series in the wrong language section. Anything about the content itself has to go to the rights holder, since we do not control it.
